Neil Warnock, 75, steps aside as Aberdeen manager after just five weeks in charge

NEIL WARNOCK is stepping aside as Aberdeen’s manager after just five weeks in charge.

Warnock, 75, said he had been “honoured” to manage the team for the short period of time he did.

Aberdeen claimed a spot in the Scottish Cup semi-finals with a 3-1 win over Kilmarnock earlier today.

The Dons enjoyed arguably their best performance under Warnock in the victory at Pittodrie.

However, with the club’s league form less than desirable, Warnock has stepped aside.
