Zlatan was visibly moved by the reception he received and choked back tears.

Emotional supporters were spotted crying in the stands, as their hero said goodbye.

He has previously named the best team of players that he had the pleasure of playing alongside in a post on Instagram.

The team included some of football‘s biggest stars over the last two decades, including Lionel Messi, Ronaldinho and Gianluigi Buffon.

Lilian Thuram, Thiago Silva, Alessandro Nesta, Patrick Vieira, Pavel Neved and Brazilian defender Maxwell were the other stars named in the first team.

While also naming himself in the starting XI, Ibrahimovic did name a subs bench. However, United star David De Gea has had his name scribbled out.

The Spaniard played alongside Ibrahimovic during his two-year stint at Old Trafford between 2016 and 2018.

During this period De Gea put in some of his best performances as United’s goalkeeper.

The club won the EFL Cup and the Europa League in 2017, while De Gea was named in the Premier League team of the season in both campaigns.

The subs bench included the likes of Andrés Iniesta and Fabio Cannavaro.

De Gea is set to extend his stay at Old Trafford but is expected to sign a contract that will see his wages slashed.
