A WOMAN has warned drivers that they’ve been using their ice scraper wrong.
The hack uploaded by @charlottebrown to TikTok has gone viral and viewers are shocked.

Charlotte Brown, 25, uploaded a video on TikTok where she admitted that she has always used the serrated side of her ice scraper.
In the video, she showed the difference it made once she realised and flipped her scraper around to the flat side.

With the right side, she managed to de-ice her windscreen in seconds.
The video title reads: “How did I not know.”
Charlotte said on TikTok: “I must be like dumb because, literally, I never knew that’s what that side was for.
“I thought it was just decoration. It comes off within seconds.”
The TikTok video has gone viral with more than 222,200 views.
Most people in the comments are shocked after discovering that she didn’t know how to use an ice scraper.
One said: “I thought this was common sense.”
The TikTok user responded: “I genuinely thought you just use the flat side hahaha.”
Another said: “I never knew either. Learning more off TikTok than I did at school, LOL.”
A third pointed out: “I thought this was just what everyone did.”
Others think there are better ways to de-ice your windscreen.
One said: “You shouldn’t use de-icer as it wrecks your wipers and windows.”

Drivers should keep in mind that Rule 229 of the Highway Code states: “Drivers must be able to see, so clear all snow and ice from all your windows.
“Make sure your mirrors are clear and the windows are demisted thoroughly.”
If the police caught you with an iced windscreen, you could be fined up to 1,000 and get three points on your licence.
