Wrexham set for amazing Hollywood film appearance as club chief gives update

WREXHAM could appear in owner Ryan Reynolds’ next Deadpool film, the club’s chairman has confirmed.

Hollywood star Reynolds, 46, took over the non-league outfit with American TV star Rob McElhenney, 46, in 2020.

The pair have attended a host of Wrexham‘s big games over the past year – including a dramatic 3-2 win over Notts County earlier this month.

And now chairman Humphrey Ker has hinted at the prospect of the club featuring in Deadpool 3.

Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: “I genuinely don’t know for sure, we’ve not had this conversation.

“But I’d be quite surprised if not [he didn’t feature Wrexham in the film] because all the elements of his life and his career and everything all intersect in all sorts of different ways.

“I think there were Aviation Gin references in the last one [an alcohol company that Reynolds owns].

“So, I’m sure, who knows? Paul Mullin to play an X-Men?”

Star striker Mullin helped inspire his side to beat title rivals Notts County in a thriller on April 10.

But they then dropped points against Barnet on Sunday as they were held to a goalless draw.
