The ticket to The Residence gets you access to three private rooms – a bathroom, lounge area and a bedroom with a double bed big enough for two

The lounge area has a spacious set of plane sets that are more like comfy sofas and offer a generous amount of leg room on the long haul flight

If you thought flying first class was as good as it gets then the Etihad’s The Residence will, truly blow you away.

They offer an incredible one-of-a-kind suite dubbed the most expensive plane ticket ever as it comes with everything you could ever need on your flight.

Only one ticket in the world allows a pair of guests to enjoy three separate rooms as they hop on a long-haul flight and that belongs to The Residence.

Starting in the private lounge area, passengers are gifted a glorified sofa disguised as regular plane seats, padded and covered in soft blankets.

One thing that really frustrates flyers is leg room but on The Residence that isn’t even close to being an issue as each seat has a huge three feet of space in front of it.

Comfy footrests and a stacked mini bar sit opposite your seats with hidden storage space for anything you need to put away until you land.

Through to the bedroom – that wouldn’t look out of place in London home – sits a springy double bed with a TV for guests to sleep in and feel fresh the moment they land.

The cabin crew are there to make your bed when you go through to the lounge and spruce up anywhere moments after you leave so its in top quality shape.

Sarah Built, Etihad Airways’ vice president of sales in Australasia said The Residence is the opportunity for anyone looking to “indulge in the pinnacle of luxury” and live out their wildest dreams in a plane.

Passengers for The Residence get their own personal escort onto the flight before anyone else and are given a range of special gifts for their trip.

Travellers have also claimed they were given a pair of noise-cancelling headphones, some new pyjamas and separate clothes to relax in.

A welcome note personally signed by the pilot is also given as they guide you to your holiday destination in style.

An ensuite bathroom completes the trifecta and includes a toilet and shower with a generous ten minutes of hot water.

Acqua di Parma toiletries, a hair dryer, plenty of fluffy towels and even a bathrobe all come complimentary in the flash, spacious bathroom.

A personal butler caters to your endless needs and will bring you in a multi-course meal on a silver tray from a delicious a la carte menu.

The Wifi is free and a chauffeur service takes you to and from the airport lounges as you breeze past the slow exits and tedious arrivals.

Etihad Airways’ unique suite made its debut in 2014 and impressed the rich and famous despite it only being available on certain A380 planes.

The airline only took passengers between Abu Dhabi and London at first but starting from April 22 next year the special suite will also be available from Abu Dhabi and New York.

Celebs like Holly Willoughby have taken the flight and kicked their feet up on The Residence as a grateful passenger in the past.

The price varies from from different routes and perks but its rumoured to be between £16,000 to a whopping £45,000 just for a single ticket.

This new sale is part of Etihad’s launch celebration and passengers can upgrade from first class to The Residence starting from around £4,000.

Anyone looking to go on the flight of their dreams will have to book before December 12, 2023 for a trip away in the next few months.
