The 1994 stretched-out Range Rover Classic LSE is the work of Townley Cross Country Vehicles Ltd, one of the best-known conversion companies at the time.

The custom Range Rover is installed with new interior features such as two 8-inch televisions with a VHS recorder, full air conditioning, three rear seats and a full electric centre division with a glass panel.

They converted it by stretching the chassis and the body of the vehicle by 40 inches and raised the roof by a further 8 inches, making the Range Rover look like a 4×4 limousine.

The exterior was painted in a Rolls-Royce Mason black and the inside of the car is also fitted with a picnic table.

The limo-Range Rover enjoyed its own 15 minutes of fame in 2000 when world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson was ferried around in the infamous 1994 Range Rover Classic when he fought at Hampden Park in Glasgow.

At the time it was reported that the Limo had clocked 10,000 miles, but the recent MOT carried out in May shows it has nearly reached 17,000 miles.

This custom Range rover took nine months to convert and many of these iconic cars were specifically tailor-made for Middle Eastern clients.

The organisers for the auctioning of this car say: “this striking vehicle would be ideal for corporate ventures and promotional events or taking your extended family out to lunch.”

The 1994 Range Rover Classic will be auctioned in Birmingham this month.

This comes after Mike Skinner’s infamous modified 1974 Rolls-Royce was auctioned earlier this year.

Meanwhile, a motor belonging to Top Gear legend James May that was spruced up by Richard Hammond could be yours.

A Range Rover once owned by Queen Elizabeth II is up for auction as well up… and will cost ten times more because of Royal connection
