World Cup winner Nolli Waterman loves the spirit of women’s grassroots rugby

ENGLAND legend Danielle “Nolli” Waterman recently visited Ruislip rugby club to see how the Guinness Never Settle campaign is bearing fruits at grassroots level.

It was a damp Sunday morning when Nolli met the women of Ruislip rugby club, but that didn’t dampen her spirits.

She was seeing something that she could only have wished for five years ago, when she was plying her trade as an international rugby player.

There is nothing that gives her more satisfaction than encouraging those who have not always been represented in rugby – and standing as a role model to get people involved.

This aligns with the mission of Guinness’s Never Settle Campaign, for which she is an ambassador.

The campaign aims to make rugby a place where everyone is welcome and everyone can belong.

And it’s working. As the number of amateur clubs increases, the community increases and the player pool should grow.

Join World Cup winner Nolli as she experiences the inclusive world of women’s grassroots rugby.
