Sophia, who is known as sophiasavagephoto on TikTok, shared her hack on social media.
In a recent video, she wrote: “When your boyfriend doesn’t know about the airplane head cushion hack.”
She then reached behind her boyfriend, grabbed the headrest and bent the headrest into a more comfortable sleeping position.
At the end of the video, her boyfriend smiled and rested his head in a much more pleasant position.
The video has had more than 7million views and 30,000 likes on the social media platform.
In the comments it was described as a “game changer” and the “best kept travel secret“.
Several people in the comments didn’t know that the headrest could be moved into a better position.
One person wrote: “So I’ve just been flying wrong all my life.”
Other people were quick to point out that the headset moves up too, so it can accommodate taller people as well.
However, this doesn’t work on all flights so passengers should check before they board if their airline has the head cushions.
Another woman revealed another hack to get comfortable on a flight.
In the video, Tiktoker Wendygonewild removed her shoes and socks and rested them in a sling that was wrapped around the tray table to keep it in place.
With her feet off the ground, she swung them back and forth.
She then picked up an enormous inflatable travel pillow that had gaps for her face and arms.
Another woman went to huge lengths to make a flight more comfortable – even shocking a flight attendant.
And a former flight attendant has revealed the best seat to book on a plane.
