The content creator posted a video on TikTok explaining how to save a few quids every time you travel.

Low-budget holidaymakers often get slapped with hefty prices for food at the airport or while boarding the plane.

But this money-saving pro has now revealed her “favourite” way to enjoy your trip without having to splash too much cash.

She promised travellers they will “never have to pay for overpriced food” at the airport again if they try this hack.

As a part of a series of travel vlogs, she suggested her more than 2,000 followers to bring their own food to the plane.

Julia explained: “This is especially useful on shorter flights that don’t serve food.”

The footage shows the tiktoker boarding what seems to be a Ryanair flight.

She then proceeds to open a bag containing a wrapped sandwich.

On the clip she said: “I don’t know who started the rumour that you can’t bring food through airport security.

“But whenever we’re travelling through Europe, we find a cute sandwich shop and bring them to eat on the plane.”

The travel expert said to even bring her favourite snacks to the flight.

She added: “Sometimes we do cheese and salami and have a charcuterie on board too.

“We also like to bring a bag of fruits and veggies to snack on too.”

The video has now gained thousands of views with more than 40,000 likes from delighted users.

Hundreds of people have flooded the comment section with their thoughts and opinions.

One user, @Barry_Chopin said: “On my last flight I took potato salad, three boiled eggs, tuna fish sub, and a tikka masala bowl.”

Another added: “This is how you make Ryanair luxury.”

But not everyone is impressed by the travel tip.

Angry users slammed people bringing food and said “stinky” meals can bother other passengers.

@Danny admitted: “I started that rumour because people bring stinky food”.

Others said the food could even make you sick, with someone saying: “Don’t bring food because once you land it can make you puke.”

However, people should be aware of bringing beverages as liquids of more than 100ml aren’t allowed on board.

It comes as another travel expert revealed her genius hack for saving money on your holiday.

The American traveller took to TikTok to share the luggage hack she says airlines don’t want you to know about.
