Woman issues warning to Brits after packing technique delayed an entire flight

A TRAVELLER has issued a warning to other holidaymakers after her suitcase delayed her entire flight after trying a viral packing trend.

When passengers are paying for every inch of their hand luggage, it’s understandable many will fill their suitcases to the rafters.

In a post on Reddit one person asked other users if it was worth investing in packing cubes.

Underneath the original post, many frequent travellers had plenty of advice for the novice packer.

But one person explained how their packing cubes grounded her fight.

They wrote: “Once my carry-on was selected for intensive inspection with a drug sniffing dog.

“I had overstuffed everything in haphazardly for the trip home.

“After they looked all the way into my suitcase, it took forever to repack my loose underwear, socks, toiletries, gifts – and it delayed the whole flight.

“It was the last time I ever travelled without packing cubes.”

The popular packing trend was praised by other holidaymakers too.

One wrote: “Packing cubes are magical, everything seems to shrink and I get so much more in my suitcase.”

While another added: “I love my packing cubes.”

A third said: “I will never travel without my packing cubes again.”

Packing cubes aren’t the only way travellers can make more space in their limited carry on.

One flight attendant always takes packing cubes whenever they are packing.

Meanwhile one woman shared a video on Tiktok showing her pulling the stuffing out of a travel pillow to make storage space for her clothes.

Packing expert Sophie Liard has settled an age-old debate: which is better packing or rolling.
