Woman claims to have discovered £4 cream that heals mosquito bites in just one day

IF YOU’VE ever suffered from a terribly itchy mosquito bite, then one woman might’ve found the perfect cream just for you.

TikTok user Sara, who is known as _sarcha._, raved about the mosquito cream in a video on the social media platform earlier this month.

The cream Sara praised was the Green Balm Mosquito BrandYANHEE

In the video, she showed a small green and blue tub that contained the mosquito cream.

After she showed users the tub, she applied the green cream onto several red mosquito bites that were dotted along her leg.

A caption over the video read: “Buy this at a 7-Eleven store in Thailand. It heals mosquito bites within a day, and you can thank me later.”

The cream Sara praised was the Green Balm Mosquito Brand by Yanhee.

The brand’s website described it as a “herbal medicine for relieving insect bites itching and relieving body aches.”

In addition to allegedly healing mozzie bites, other uses included relieving bruises, sprains, fainting, and dizziness, as well as reducing inflammation.

While the multipurpose cream is stocked in shops and pharmacies across Thailand, shoppers from the UK can purchase the cream from eBay for as little as £4.40 for a 13g tub.

The video has had over 300,000 views on the social media platform, with users jumping into the comments to share their opinions.

One person wrote: “I got this in Thailand six years ago, and I still talk about it to this day – it’s so good.”

Another added: “I’m heading there [Thailand] in a couple of weeks, and that’s the first thing I’m buying.”

Meanwhile, other users said household items like “toothpaste” and “coconut oil” were just as effective for healing mosquito bites.

But other people argued that preventing mosquito bites was far more important than healing them.

One person wrote: “Maybe you should spray before, so you don’t get bitten.”

Earlier this year, I put a £4 moisturising spray through its paces on a summer trip to Lazio, Italy.

Over the last few years, I’ve tried everything to keep the bugs at bay, including foul-smelling mosquito repellents, bands designed to repel the critters, citronella candles, and a course of prescription medication.

But when I heard about Avon Skin So Soft, a mosituriser-cum-mosquito repellent, I knew I had to give it a go.

While the spray isn’t marketed as a mosquito repellent, it’s become a firm favourite among mums who are desperate to keep their kids bite-free.

And it’s easy to see why, after my first day in Italy, I didn’t have a single mosquito bite.

My friends and I used every single drop from both of my travel-sized bottles during our week-long holiday.

After seven days, I had just three bites on my right leg, which I deemed a success.

Sun Online Travel recently tested out a game-changing gadget that prevents itchy bug bites.

The Beurer BR60 insect bite healer is said to relieve the symptoms of bites by applying heat to the affected area.

Meanwhile, another travel writer has hailed mosquito bands as a “game-changer” in the fight against the pests.
