The air fryer has been praised online

And shoppers have managed to find a Tower dual air fryer for just £139.

The product holds 9L and claims to cook for eight people at once.

The deal was posted on HotUKDeals and the person who posted it said it “beats Ninja’s 2600w power”.

Ninja’s famous dual air fryer uses 2400w.

While more watt power sounds better as it means the device has more power, it could mean that it costs you slightly more money to run – we’ve got info below on how much it costs to run an air fryer.

Shoppers took to the comments to share their thoughts.

One said: “The power rating on the Duronic is very similar to the Ninja Duals and indeed considerably higher than many other duals out there so should be fine.”

Another said: “We bought this from Argos. Really good air fryer.”

While another person said: “We have this air fryer and, while it’s great, we do wish it had the possibility of a larger basket as we struggle to fit many things in the two smaller baskets (pies, lasagnas etc), so this is great if it works!”

At the time of writing the air fryer was in stock online.

Wilko recently introduced a click & collect services across all of this 400 stores in the UK.

Shoppers will be able to order items using the click & collect service for free.

In comparison, Wilko currently charges £4.95 for standard delivery and £7.96 for next day.

So if you’re able to, it might be cheaper to order the air fryer for collection.

Do consider travel or petrol costs though and weigh up which option is cheaper for you.

Also bear in mind that product and prices will vary from store to store.

We’ve checked elsewhere and you can find the exact same product at Argos for £134 or at Comet for £124.

If you’re after an air fryer but can’t justify spending £139, then we found another one for the same size but a different brand going for £99 at B&Q.

While Argos is selling a similar one also for the same size for £119.

Remember it’s only a steal if you were planning on buying one anyway.

There are also ways to shop around for the best deals.

Using comparison sites like Google Shopping, idealo or Trolley often have the latest bargains.

It’s always worth signing up to company emails and newsletters as they’ll often have various offers in there too.

How much does an air fryer cost to use?

The answer won’t be the same for everyone, as what you pay for electricity will depend on your tariff and also how large and efficient your appliance is.

As with any appliance, a newer model is likely to be more efficient and cheaper to run than an older version.

The power of an air fryer is measured in watts, and this determines how much energy it uses – and the cost of using it.

But the more powerful the appliance, the quicker it will cook your food too.

A 1,000W air fryer costs just 17p to run for 30 minutes and 34p to run for an hour.

While a 1,500W air fryer will set you back 26p for half an hour, and 51p for an hour’s use.

A 1,800W gadget costs around 31p for 30 minutes, and 61p for 60 minutes.

A 2,600W gadget costs around 44p for 30 minutes and 88p for 60 minutes.

Is it cheaper than using the oven?

You shouldn’t always assume that your new gadget is going to save you money as well as calories, but it might help at times.

A 2kW oven costs around 34p to run for half an hour, or 38p for an hour’s use.

You could run a 1,000W air fryer for an hour for 4p less.

And 3.5kW own costs around 60p to run for half an hour and £1.19 for an hour.

This makes an air fryer once again the cheapest option.

Ovens aren’t the biggest energy suckers in the home, but they do guzzle a fair amount of electricity, especially if you use them often and for long periods of time.

An air fryer will be smaller and more energy-efficient than a full-sized oven, so you could save money on your bills if you used it for your midweek meals, and save the oven for a single batch-cooking session at the weekend.
