Why handsome men get along better in life and earn more money revealed

HANDSOME men get along better in life and earn more money, according to a study.

The benefits even outstrip women’s so-called pretty privilege, the researchers say.

Attractive men get along better in life, according to research

They assessed people’s physical attractiveness at age 15 and then tracked their lives for 20 years.

It enabled them to compare participants’ education, jobs and salaries with those of their parents.

And good-looking teenagers were found to be more likely to be better educated, get better jobs and earn more cash than their mums and dads.

The University of Oslo study’s lead author Prof Alexi Gugushvili said: “Adolescent attractiveness might provide the early advantages and lasting benefits of greater self-confidence and optimism.

“Studies show that physically attractive individuals are more likely to be trusted and therefore gain more opportunities for career advancement.

“But initially less attractive individuals who blossom into adult attractiveness could still benefit from it.”

Prof Gugushvili says in the journal Social Science Quarterly that the same trends are true for women but the differences are not as big.
