Where is the cast of Men Behaving Badly now?

WHO can forget the beer-swigging antics of flatmates Gary and Tony in Men Behaving Badly, and their long suffering girlfriends Dorothy and Deborah.

The hit BBC comedy first aired back in 1994, and ended in 1998, and remains a fan favourite to this day.

Where is the cast of Men Behaving Badly now?

Martin Clunes as Gary

Martin Clunes has done well for himself since Men Behaving Badly endedRex

Much-loved actor Martin Clunes played beer loving Gary, who owned the flat where him and flatmate Tony got up to their drunken antics.

After the show ended he landed his own series called William And Mary.

Martin also had huge success as the voice of Kipper the Dog in the animated kids series, Kipper.

Other big roles included playing Sir Pitt Crawley in ITV drama Vanity Fair in 2018.

In early January 2019 he fronted ITV’s three-part series Manhunt, a crime drama focusing on the investigation into Levi Bellfield.

Martin portrayed Colin Sutton, the detective who led the hunt for Bellfield.

He also starred in the second series, shown in 2021, called Manhunt: The Night Stalker, a dramatisation of the DCI’s hunt for serial rapist Delroy Grant.

But actor Martin is best known for his role as Dr Martin Ellingham in ITV’s hit show Doc Martin, which he played from 2004 until 2022.

Neil Morrissey as Tony

Neil Morrissey shot to fame in Men Behaving Badly playing Gary’s hapless roommate Tony.

Like Martin, he’s had HUGE success since the BBC comedy ended.

Many will recognise his voice from Bob The Builder, where he lends his vocal stylings to the title character Bob as well as Lofty, and Farmer Pickles.

Neil also featured in popular school drama Waterloo Road, and gripping BBC miniseries, The Night Manager.

The actor also starred in the BBC show The Pilgrimage, and ITV’s Unforgotten.

Other big roles Neil has had include Line Of Duty, The Good Karma Hospital, and The Syndicate.

Caroline Quentin has remained in the spotlightRex

Caroline Quentin as Dorothy

Caroline Quentin played Gary’s long suffering girlfriend Dorothy.

Even before Men Behaving Badly ended, the actress had already secured herself another primetime job, when she starred in Jonathon Creek from 1997 until 2000.

Between 2003 to 2009 she played DCI Janine Lewis in Blue Murder, which also helped secure her as a household name.

It’s fair to say, Caroline has never been short of work and has starred in a number of big shows including Bridgerton.

She also can often seen presenting more factual shows, such as The World’s Most Extraordinary Homes, Walks With My Dog and The World’s Ugliest Pets.

Caroline also strutted her stuff on Strictly in 2020.

Fun fact, the actress also teamed up with Martin to appear in several episodes of his show Doc Martin.

Leslie Ash as Deborah

Leslie shot to fame in the 70s in cult film Quadrophenia, before becoming best known for being long-suffering Deborah in Men Behaving Badly.

Speaking to The Sun in 2021 about her time on the show she said: “I hit the jackpot with Quadrophenia and Men Behaving Badly.

“I love seeing Men Behaving Badly on Gold or the BBC. People say they are big fans. It was such fun — like being back at school.

After the hit comedy ended in 1997, Leslie made appearances in ITV series Where the Heart Is and BBC medical drama Holby City, but admitted that in her 40s work largely dried up.

In 2002, she hit the headlines when a picture emerged of her after having botched lip fillers.

Leslie’s health problems did not end there, and in 2004 she was admitted to hospital with two cracked ribs.

But things went from bad to worse, when she contracted a “deadly strain” of the MRSA superbug due to an abscess on her spinal column. It left her with a devastating injury.

Leslie was initially told she would never walk again, but she has managed to defy the odds and now only relies on a stick at certain times.

Then after a decade away from telly, she made her comeback to TV in 2021 when in the BBC daytime soap Doctors, followed by Casualty.
