When does Ryanair release flights?

HOLIDAYMAKERS can already book some winter flights for Ryanair this year, but on other routes, tickets are yet to be released.

Knowing when flights will be launched can sometimes help you get a bargain on your holiday, with advanced tickets a good way to save money.

When are Ryanair flights released?

While some airlines like easyJet release their tickets at a certain time, things are less straightforward for Ryanair, who make different routes available at different times.

However, there is a general rule that can be applied to the Irish airline – check five to six months before you want to fly.

A spokesperson told Metro that is when they are normally released, although some will get launched further in advance.

They said: “Currently, on Ryanair, you can book some routes up to the end of March 2024, although typically flights tend to be released five to six months before departure.”

Their less stringent approach can make finding a deal a little bit trickier.

However, there are ways that passengers can keep up to date with any potential offers, should they wish to find them.

One way is to follow their Facebook page and then sign up to its myRyanair email service.

This service sends out alerts directly to your inbox whenever there is a sale.

You can also set alerts to find out when seats are released for certain flights.

Money Saving Expert recommends doing this to get a cheaper rate.

They said: “Ryanair releases seats in batches, around nine months in advance but it doesn’t have clear, published dates.

Ryanair’s prices are – as with most budget airlines – fluid and move based on demand for any particular flight.

“When they’re released, they’re usually priced cheaply, though they can always be undercut by a sale or if Ryanair cuts costs because demand is low for that flight.”

How do I book a Ryanair flight?

There are plenty of ways to book with Ryanair, including via their website.

The airline flies to more than 200 destinations in 33 countries.

What are the baggage rules on Ryanair?

All passenger fare types include a small personal bag, which must fit under the seat in front of you, with the dimensions 40cm x 20cm x 25cm.

The airline offers additional baggage options, including an extra 10kg carry-on case from £5.20, an additional 10kg case to check-in from £11.30 and a 20kg check-in bag, which costs between £20.99 and £59.99 depending on the route.

Meanwhile, this is when easyJet releases its flights.

And another airline has recently announced that it will be scrapping free hand luggage.
