WHATSAPP has reportedly fixed a major bug for Android users which caused the messenger app to crash when trying to use Emojis.
Many WhatsApp users have complained about the issue that plagued an older version of the app.

The Emoji keyboard bug came around when WhatsApp introduced a new interface for the security notifications screen.
A number of users also said the app would crash when configuring their avatars, accessing the privacy section, and adding text over images using the drawing editor, WaBetaInfo first reported.
With WhatsApp’s latest Android 2.23.15.22 update, users should finally be able to use Emojis again.
The other reported crashes should also be fixed, according to WaBetaInfo.
For most Android users, the app will have automatically updated.
But if you’re an Android user still suffering with the bug, then it’s likely you’re still using the older iteration of the app.
To update the app, simply head into the Google Play Store and tap the profile icon in the top right.
Next, tap Manage apps and device.
Apps with an update available are labelled ‘Update available’ – then all you need to do is click Update and wait for it to download before trying to use Emojis.
If you want to make sure your apps automatically update, then follow these four easy steps:
Open the Google Play Store app .At the top right, tap the profile icon.Tap Settings Network preferences. Auto-update apps.Select an option: Over any network to update apps using either Wi-Fi or mobile data. Over Wi-Fi only to update apps only when connected to Wi-Fi.
