‘What’s going on?’ fume McDonald’s fans as they find ‘gorgeous’ addition to menus ‘sold out everywhere’

MCDONALD’S fans have been left fuming after trying to order a “gorgeous” menu item only to find it’s sold out “everywhere”.

Disgruntled customers have taken to social media after attempting to order the new Fajita chicken wrap.

The wrap hit menus across the country on January 4.

It was first introduced to menus in January 2020 and made a comeback after over three years away.

But the spicy snack has had a bit of an upgrade since then, leaving Maccies connoisseurs keen to give the new version a go.

This has meant foodies are even more frustrated after finding the wrap to be “unavailable” at several restaurants across the UK.

Writing on X, formerly known as Twitter, one said: “Why does the app show the Fajita chicken wrap out of stock at every McDonald’s?”

Another wrote: “What’s the point in advertising the chicken Fajita wrap everywhere if it’s just unavailable in every single restaurant?”

A third commented: “I’ve found something out of order more often than the ice cream machine at McDonald’s – it’s their ‘new’ flagship promotional Fajita wrap.

“Never available in any restaurant you go to.”

A fourth posted: “I’ve tried three branches over the last 10 days and none have had the Fajita wrap…..one hadn’t even heard of it?!

“What’s going on?”

“Everywhere I try to get it from has sold out,” a fifth commented.

While another fan who managed to give the wrap a try said: “[It’s] absolutely gorgeous but local restaurant keeps running out!!!!”

McDonald’s has apologised for any instances where this product may be temporarily unavailable.

It says it’s working with suppliers to meet the demand.

Since Maccies announced the wrap was on its way back fans have been buzzing for its return.

Those who have given it a go have described it as “unbelievable” and others have said it “cannot be removed” from menus.

The Fajita wrap combines a creamy fajita sauce and tomato salsa with onions, cheese and shredded lettuce inside a toasted tortilla wrap.

You can choose between grilled or crispy chicken options too, with prices starting from £3.49.

Plus on a Wednesday, it’s the wrap of the day too so you can grab it for £1.99.

It’s not the first time McDonald’s fans have complained of items being unavailable.

Back in March 2022, fans of the Big Tasty were devastated when the chain endured a tomato shortage, affecting their favourite burger.

And in 2021, the fast food giant ran out of milkshakes in all of its UK restaurants amid a nationwide shortage.

Maccies fans desperate for a drink to wash down their burgers and fries were left furious.

Elsewhere this week, The Sun exclusively revealed that the popular Breakfast Wrap will once again be available on its breakfast menu.

The beloved item was axed back in 2020 and ever since fans have been crying out for it to come back.

Plus, the fast-food giant has also brought back what fans called the “nicest burger from McDonald’s ever”.

Maccies has brought back the much-loved Steakhouse Stack burger as part of the shakeup.

Cheesy Garlic Bites are also back, which last featured on menus in August 2023 after launching for the first time in 2021.

How can I save on my McDonald’s order?

There are plenty of ways you can save on your next trip to McDonald’s.

But always keep in mind menu prices can vary across different restaurants – so perhaps check prices online first to avoid getting a surprise.

You can get freebies on your birthday if you’ve got the My McDonald’s app – it’s free to download and you’ll only need a few quick details to get set up.

Remember to log your date of birth on the app though, otherwise, you’ll miss out.

You can get a Big Mac and fries for just £1.99 as well if you fill out the quick feedback survey following your last visit.

All you’ll need is your receipt which should have been issued no more than 60 days after your visit.

How do I find my nearest McDonald’s?

If you’re planning on taking a trip to McDonald’s, you’ll want to know where your nearest branch is.

The chain has a restaurant locator tool on its website you can use to find your nearest one – and check what time it opens.

Bear in mind that McDonald’s serves breakfast every day until 11am.

After that, the menu switches to the normal menu serving meals such as burgers, chicken nuggets and more.
