WHAT are the colours of the Easter eggs in this optical illusion?
Orange? Pink? Orange? Green?
David NovickThe Easter eggs are actually all the same colour[/caption]
What if we told you they were all the same colour.
The mind-blowing image is officially called a Munker illusion and it tricks your eyes in a very clever way.
Basically, the tight lines deceive our brains into seeing different colours.
Professor David Novick, who creates all sorts of optical illusions, has posted several just like it on Twitter.
“The illusion is a function of the foreground framing color, which tends to tint the central circle,” he previously explained.
“The apparent color of the central circle is a mix of the foreground framing color and the circle’s color.”
The more you step away, the more the effect works too.
If you don’t believe it, there’s a way to check yourself.
Try zooming in on the image and you should notice they are indeed the same colour.
If you’re looking for more mind-blowing illusions, there are plenty more to find here.
There’s also some Magic Eye tricks, which make hidden objects appear.
See if you can spot the animal camouflaged in this illusion.
