‘We’ve grown up together’: Zoë Kravitz honours father Lenny Kravitz at Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony

After countless number one hits and millions of albums sold over the last nearly four decades, Lenny Kravitz has finally received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Fly Away singer, 59, was officially honoured with his star on Wednesday morning (Australia time) at a ceremony on Hollywood Boulevard.

The star was celebrated with special speeches from actor Denzel Washington and his daughter Zoë Kravitz, who attended the ceremony with her partner Channing Tatum.

Standing on stage next to her father, Zoë started off by joking “I’ve had the pleasure of knowing you for a long time.”

“And I must say, being your daughter has been one of the great adventures of my life,” she sweetly continued.

“Since you were so young when I was born, in many ways, we’ve grown up together. We’ve been through a lot. We’ve seen a lot. I’ve seen a lot.”

“I’ve seen you change in the most beautiful ways, I’ve seen the way you’ve stayed the same in the most important ways,” the Batman actress addressed her father.

“I’ve seen the way you show up, take care of the people you love. I’ve seen your incredible dedication to your art, but mostly, I’ve seen through your shirts,” she joked.

The star continued by hilariously making more light-hearted quips at her father’s fashion sense, where he has become known for his sheer tops, or simply for going shirtless.

“All my life, people have asked me, ‘What’s it like to have such a cool dad? “And the answer is, ‘Awesome.’ It’s awesome,” she confessed.

Zoë then gushed that her father’s “radness” isn’t from his statement fashion, but his “true love for life” expressed from everything from his music to his “stupid jokes” and “late night kitchen talks.”

“You absolutely devour life. You eat up every crumb and lick the plate. Life is your art and that is why your music is so inspiring and important,” she said.

The Divergent actress sat front row next to her father and Channing Tatum, who she has been reportedly engaged to since October, throughout the ceremony.

Multiple sources reported the pair were engaged at the end of last year after Zoë was seen wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring.

The pair first sparked dating rumours in January 2021 after reportedly meeting when Zoë reached out to cast Tatum in her directorial debut film, now called Blink Twice.
