WETHERSPOONS has made a change to its menu with a new burger and it’s bound to be a fan favourite.

The pub chain has introduced the crunchy chicken strip burger to its main meal offering.

Wetherspoons has made a change to its menu with a new burger

Fans of the Wetherspoons popular food menu will be no doubt be eager to try the new item.

It will be joining other burger variations including the Empire State Burger, the Halloumi Burger and of course the classic beef burger.

The new staple includes two southern fried crunchy chicken strips made with 100% chicken breast.

It comes served on a bed of crisp iceberg lettuce and cool mayo.

It’s accompanied by a lightly toasted brioche bun.

Together, when served with a small portion of chips the meal has 787 calories.

If you’re buying it with a soft drink it will cost you £5.04.

If you fancy a pint with your meal then it’ll cost slightly more at £6.44.

You can also get it on its own for £3.11.

Prices for the new burger will vary from pub to pub so it’s always best to check your local before paying.

You won’t find the burger on print out menus or online but it is available to order at the bar or on the Spoons app.

To find your nearest Wetherspoons head over to the website and use its handy locator tool.

Compared to the price of the fried buttermilk chicken burger which is already on the menu, the new offering appears to be a little cheaper with a soft drink.

The original costs £5.15 with a soft drink and £6.45 with an alcoholic one.

Wetherspoons is regularly updating and introducing offers to its food and drinks menu, as well as making other changes to its pubs.

Back in January, it extended the time you can order breakfast to 12pm – seven days a week.

Previously, you could get brekkie from 8am to 11.30am Monday through to Sunday so punters now have 30 extra minutes to order grub.

Of course, Wetherspoons pubs have different opening hours so you might not always be able to get it from 8am.

Most recently, the pub chain announced it will keep its venues open for an hour longer on Sunday, May 7 to mark the King’s Coronation.

Venues that are usually open until 10pm will remain open until 11pm, while some will continue to serve right up until midnight or 1am.

If you’re planning on raising a glass to the King, you may want to check what your local is doing by visiting the Wetherspoon website.

Meanwhile, Wetherspoons isn’t the only chain making changes to its menus.

McDonald’s is introducing new dips and a burger – as well as bringing back popular favourites.

Plus, from today Starbucks has brought out its new drinks range with a bizarre ingredient that is bound to leave fans divided.
