We converted a van into a stunning home on wheels – it cost us THOUSANDS, but now we’re travelling the world

A COUPLE spent thousands of pounds converting a van into a stunning home on wheels – but now they’re travelling the world.

English TikTokers Liv and Lew bought their Mercedes Sprinter for £11,000 to turn it into a motorhome with a bespoke kitchen area and bed.

The couple spent a total of £24,300, including the cost of the van, and they say that it was worth every penny.

They explained: “We’re really happy with the final cost because we were actually expecting it to be higher.”

Liv and Lew completed the entire project by themselves to save themselves money, and created a TikTok account, @livandlew, to show off the conversion as it took shape.

The couple said on the video: “Today is the day you’ve all been waiting for.

“We’re going to tell you how much we spent converting our van into our home, so if you’re new around here, you are a little late to the party.

“We bought a Mercedes Sprinter to turn it into a tiny home on wheels, and we started this account to be upfront and honest about the costs and show you the process.

“When we bought our van, she had done 69,000 miles, and we paid £11,000 for her, however, our original budget was £20,000.

“What helped us keep our costs down was doing all the work ourselves and we did a few partnerships along the way.

“Now, we’ve done all of our maths, we can revealed to you that we spent £24,300.”

TikTok users were blown away after seeing the conversion.

One said: “I think it’s brilliant. If there was ever encouragement to do it myself that is it.”

Another said: “How did you find this van for £11,000.”

A third pointed out: “Wow that’s amazing.”

This comes after a woman converted a Land Rover into a luxury off-road motorhome with an indoor shower.
