Taylor had just edged out Tommy Fleetwood to earn himself a £1.29million cheque.
And compatriot Hadwin was thrilled for him, but his efforts to soak him in champagne were cut short by an eager guard who mistook him for a fan.
Fortunately, the world No.75 men’s golfer was unharmed and saw the funny side as he later tweeted a picture of the tackle with the caption, “Put it in the Louvre!”
He also later congratulated Taylor on Twitter, as he wrote: “Words cannot describe the magnitude of what you just accomplished. So proud of you @ntaylorgolf59!”
Hadwin’s wife, Jessica, also saw the funny side of her husband being tackled to the ground.
She tweeted: “Omg I can’t handle these different angles.
“The security guard’s laser focus on his target. Adam’s commitment to the giant bottle of champagne.
“So many things to take in with every new POV.”

He was even teased by NFL star and Carolina Panther wide receiver Adam Thielen, who said: “Adam Hadwin did ask me what it feels like to get tackled for a living, well here ya go haha.”
To which Hadwin responded, saying that he would “stick to golf“.
Meanwhile, British golfer Tyrell Hatton also commented on the moment as he said: “Praying for Adam Hadwin, what a tackle.”
As the world No.75 men’s golfer, he has earned one career PGA tour win, which came in the Valspar Championship in the 2016/17 season.
