Watch Craig Bellamy FUME at referee as Burnley denied first win of season and fans joke he ‘still has the temper’

FANS joked that Craig Bellamy “still has a temper” after he fumed at officials following Burnley’s 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.

The former Liverpool and Newcastle star is Vincent Kompany‘s assistant at Turf Moor and took to the pitch to protest on behalf of the Belgian.

Berge’s first touch was judged to have hit his arm as he ran through and squared the ball for Lyle Foster.

Notably, there was no appeal from the Forest players for the goal to be ruled out after Foster converted.

Foster would eventually let his frustration get the better of him when he was sent off for elbowing Ryan Yates in the 94th minute.

Following the final whistle, Bellamy took to the pitch to debate Burnley‘s disallowed goal with Jones.

The assistant coach’s intervention came after Berge himself was remonstrating with the ref and attempting to explain that his arm was in a natural position in the lead up to the goal.

Fans on Twitter were quick to point out that Bellamy had lost none of the passion exhibited during his playing days.

One fan said: “Still has the temper… Right to be p***** off about the handball call though!”

Another wrote: “He’s always been vocal.”

A third tweeted: “Don’t blame him.”

And a fourth wrote: “Understandably fuming. Hard done by there.”

The 1-1 draw means that Championship champions Burnley are still yet to pick up a Premier League win after four Premier League games.

They sit second bottom of the table with just the singular point.
