The footage shows a truck losing control on the upper roadway and plunging off on to other vehicles.

Unfortunately, there were already several cars damaged below due to a previous accident.

The accident took place on the 4th of December in Santa Clarita, Southern California.

American broadcaster ABC 7 said three dangerous crashes were reported that day at the same spot.

Tommy Dorado filmed the tragic event with his mobile phone.

He said in an interview with ABC 7: “At first, I was in shock. I was in disbelief. I honestly couldn’t believe I was witnessing something like that firsthand.”

Dorado was worried that members of the emergency service were injured.

Two people were rushed to hospital after the truck fell over the side.

The California Highway Patrol thinks the truck driver was speeding and lost control in the rain.

YouTube users, shocked after watching the footage, commented below.

One said: “The people from the first crash were thinking it can’t get much more worse than this and then…. I hope they are all okay.”

Another said: “My gosh… I hope the truck driver only has minor injuries or none at all, also for the person in the previous crash.”

A third pointed out: “Staying home on days like this isn’t a bad thing. I think on bad days, we should be excused for coming to work late and leaving early.”
