“Additionally, there is a risk that the glass bottles may explode which may cause injury.

“If you have bought any of the above products do not eat them.”

Food safety risks

FOOD poisoning is caused by eating something that has been contaminated with germs.

It is most commonly caused by bacteria from items which have been incorrectly stored, prepared, handled or cooked.

Sometimes you’ll be able to tell something is ‘off’, but contaminated goods often may smell and taste completely normal.

If food is not stored in the proper manner, the bacteria can multiply to dangerous levels, which can make you seriously unwell.

In serious cases, this can be fatal.

Bacteria and viruses that can cause food poisoning include:

Listeria
Campylobacter
Salmonella
Hepatitis E virus
E.coli
Norovirus
