Unemployed Jesse Lingard ‘has offers from 26 CLUBS’ with ex-Man Utd star still available on free transfer

JESSE LINGARD reportedly has offers from as many as 26 clubs around the world, including a big Serie A team.

Lingard, 31, has been a free agent for the last eight months following his departure from Nottingham Forest.

The versatile midfielder has trained with former club West Ham as well as Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia but nothing came of it.

According to The Mail, however, the ex-England international still has quite a few options to choose from.

The ex-Manchester United ace has been linked with a shock move to FC Seoul.

And although the South Korean outfit pose as Lingard’s likeliest destination it is in no way a finished matter yet.

Lazio have also made an offer to his newly-appointed agents and thus Maurizio Sarri’s side could give him one more crack at top level.

Lingard is “giving serious consideration” to all of the approaches that he has received from around the world.

Seoul offered a two-year deal with an option to extend until 2027 and reports suggested the United academy graduate has reached a verbal agreement.

However, all will depend on how far he wants to venture as a move to South Korea could add a lot of distance between him and his family.

Lingard burst on to the scene in 2015 with the Red Devils following a series of loan stints at Leicester, Birmingham, Brighton and Derby.

The versatile player scored 35 goals and provided 21 assists in 232 appearances with the Manchester giants.

He also won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, Community Shield as well as Europa League trophy with United.

But he fell down the pecking order in 2021 and was loaned out to West Ham.

The midfielder stood out during the second half of the 2020-21 campaign with nine goals and five assists in 16 games with the Hammers.

That led to a move to Forest a year later but he failed to replicate the same success with only two goals and two assists in 20 games.
