Not ruining her night! Hailey Bieber (née Baldwin) attended the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar Party following her social media drama with Selena Gomez.
The Rhode skincare founder, 26, stepped out for the Los Angeles bash on Sunday, March 12, following the 95th annual Academy Awards. Bieber wore a sleek custom Saint Laurent dress that featured asymmetrical sleeves. While one arm was completely covered — even down to her fingers — the other side of the garment was open, with black fabric trailing down to the floor.
Bieber’s head-turning gown included a dramatic shoulder bow. She kept her makeup neutral apart from bright red nail polish and accessorized with chic diamonds.
Pals Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner were also on hand to celebrate at the A-list affair. The sisters posed separately on the carpet. Kendall, 27, wore a gold and black Jean Paul Gaultier gown, while Kylie, 25, wowed in Maison Margiela.
The model’s big night out marked her first public appearance since her rumored tension with Gomez, 30, reached an all-time high. Fans have wondered whether the women have been at odds since Justin Bieber proposed to Hailey in 2018 — just months after ended his lengthy on-off romance with Gomez.

The Only Murders in the Building star made headlines in February for her frequent TikTok activity, including her telling reaction to a supposedly shady video uploaded by Hailey one month prior. Social media users theorized that Hailey, Kendall and Justine Skye were referring to Gomez while lip-synching to a popular audio that said, “And I’m not saying she deserved it, but I’m saying God’s timing is always right.”
Hailey subsequently deleted the video, but Gomez assured fans that she was keeping her head high. “It’s OK! I don’t let these things get me down! Be nice to everyone! x,” she wrote in a comment last month.
The drama continued after the “Wolves” singer joked about laminating her eyebrows “too much” in a TikTok of her own. Kylie later uploaded a screenshot of a FaceTime call with Hailey via her Instagram Story, writing, “This was an accident???” The Kylie Cosmetics founder zoomed in on her and Hailey’s eyebrows — but she denied that the photo had any deeper meaning.
“This is reaching. no shade towards selena ever and i didn’t see her eyebrow posts!” the Kardashians star wrote in February. “U guys are making something out of nothing. this is silly.”
Amid the back and forth, Gomez briefly stepped away from TikTok. She eventually retired to the platform and thanked fans for their support, reminding her followers to treat each other with kindness.
Hailey, meanwhile, has yet to directly address the rumored feud but has been leaning on Justin, 29, for support. “Their marriage is stronger than ever, and it’s challenging times like this that only strengthen their bond,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly earlier this month, adding that the “Peaches” crooner has been there for his wife “no matter what.”
The pop star didn’t join Hailey on the Vanity Fair carpet on Sunday, but he shared a sweet tribute to his spouse via social media earlier that day. “LUV U BABY,” he captioned a cuddly Instagram photo.
