UFC icon Joe Rogan reveals the NBA superstar who would have left fighters ‘f****d’ if he decided to train MMA

JOE ROGAN reckons heavyweight fighters would’ve been “F****D” if an NBA icon decided to take up mixed martial arts.

In recent years, several big-name athletes and celebrities have flirted with the prospect of trying their hand at MMA.

WWE superstar Brock Lesnar is the sport’s most successful crossover star, winning the UFC heavyweight title in 2008 with a second-round knockout of Randy Couture.

Lesnar’s octagon success still, to this day, has fans wondering how other man-mountain sports stars would fare in the cage.

Lebron James‘ name is often brought up in that conversation – despite him not having a martial arts background.

But Rogan believes the Lakers star would have done some serious damage inside the cage if he opted to take up MMA instead of basketball.

The UFC commentator said on his Joe Rogan Experience podcast in 2017: “I don’t give a f*** what kind of steroids you take, you are never going to look like that. Never.

“There are human beings who have just the most unfathomable physical advantages.

“LeBron James would have an unfathomable physical advantage over someone who would have an unfathomable physical advantage over you.

“A guy like that, if he was fighting, everybody would be f***ed!

“They are lucky, they are God damn lucky there’s that much money in basketball and LeBron James got into it.”

Rogan, 55, believes the 6’9 James’ long and bulky frame would be perfect for competing with the UFC’s big boys.

He continued: “And people go, ‘Well, you know what, man?

“‘Some things that make a great-looking basketball player wouldn’t necessarily make you a great fighter.

“Listen to me. Save it. That guy’s going to beat your f*ing a, he’s a winner.

“There’s certain level of winners that can just do whatever they want.”

The UFC returns to action on Saturday night with a showcase card in Londo, which will be headlined by Brit Tom Aspinall.

The Atherton assassin will lock horns with Marcin Tybura in his first outing since suffering a nasty knee injury last July.
