A brutal right hand in the opening round from Emmett left Mitchell out for the count.

And footage revealed the worrying scenes as Mitchell was shaking from a seizure following the KO.

The American had the MMA world rally around him after the scary scene.

Ex-UFC champion Chris Weidman posted: “That might be one of the worst KOs I’ve ever seen. I hope Bryce is ok.”

Aljamain Sterling added: “HOLY F***! That is scary! Hoping Bryce is ok after that shot.”

Dillon Danis said: “Prayers to Bryce Mitchell hope he is ok.”

Mitchell was taken to hospital but later spoke out to reassure concerned fans.

He said: “I want to let everybody know that I’m OK. I want to thank you all so much for watching and I’ve just been so blessed this weekend.

Emmett, 38, became only the second man to beat Mitchell, 29, who is now 6-2 in the UFC.

And he added: “It could have been a lot worse.

“When I was in that hospital, I was getting rolled by people with no legs, no arms, faces all messed up, face turned sideways like the dude got in a car wreck, so I cannot complain about anything.

“I’m so happy to be here and I’m healthy and I love you all and I thank you.”
