UFC fans were left furious after it was announced they’d have to delve even further into their pockets for pay-per-view events.
MMA fans in the United States have been forking out $74.99 (£62.28) for each of the promotion’s numbered events for the last year.

But it’s since been announced they’ll have to shell out $79.99 (£66.43) to watch the once-a-month premium fight cards on top of their ESPN+ fees.
The news didn’t go down well with the promotion’s rabid fanbase, with one fan tweeting: “Geez.
“It’s getting harder and harder to justify getting every PPV.”
Another said: “I love UFC but I can’t afford this anymore.”
And another said: “Might as well buy a ticket at this point.”
One remarked: “This might finally price me out of the market.”
The price increase comes less than a year after pay-per-views went from $69.99 (£58.13) to $74.99.
One angry fan chimed in: “Unbelievable.

“Back in January 2019 I could buy a UFC PPV for $50 now 4 years later it’s $80 dollars.
“A price increase of 60% over 4 years is outright ridiculous.”
It’s unknown if viewers in the UK or Ireland will be asked to pay more than the £19.95 or €22.61 they currently shell out for certain pay-per-view cards.
The UFC has had little control over pay-per-view prices after inking a lucrative 2019 deal with ESPN – which is owned by Disney.
And the previous price increase in their pay-per-view product was even lamented by UFC president Dana White.

The veteran promoter said: “We don’t have any say in that.
“We gave the pay-per-views to ESPN, so yeah, that’s their decision.
“You know how I feel about that stuff.
“I don’t love when prices get raised, but it’s not my decision. It’s theirs.”
The UFC’s first pay-per-view offering will take place on January 22, with a fight for the vacant light-heavyweight title between former champion Glover Teixeira and Jamahal Hll serving as the main event.
