The cast of hit sitcom Modern Family thrilled fans on Saturday as they reunited on stage at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
And making a rare appearance with the cast was actor Ty Burrell, who played Phil Dunphy on the series.
Burrell, 56, notably missed out on a reunion dinner the cast had at the end of last year.

The stars – Julie Bowen, Ed O’Neill, Sofía Vergara, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet and Ty Burrell – presented the Ensemble in a Comedy Award to the cast of The Bear.
“Wow, this really brings back memories, do you guys ever miss it?” Burrell said as the cast first appeared on stage.
“Oh, hell yeah. But of course, we had a good great time. Eleven seasons, 250 episodes, c’mon, that never happens!” Bowen said.

“I mean, I just sometimes get a little nostalgic for the golden days. You know, it’s been a life after a big-hit show. It can be nice, too right,” Jesse Tyler Ferguson said.
Ed O’Neill added: “I didn’t want to get emotional up there. But you know what I miss about it. Most of all? The money!”
“Is it too early to talk about a reboot?” Ferguson added.
In November last year, some of the cast reunited for dinner at Vergara’s house – but noticeably absent was Burrell.
They posed for fun snaps and held up a framed photo of Burrell in character as Phil Dunphy.
It comes after Ferguson revealed that Burrell was meant to officiate Sarah Hyland’s wedding inn August 2022, but at the last minute he was unable to attend so Ferguson stepped in his place.
“I don’t know if people know this, but Ty Burrell was meant to do it, and there was a family emergency,” Ferguson told Entertainment Tonight.
Burrell played Hyland’s TV dad on the show.
”So, I got a phone call 12 days before the wedding, and that’s why Ty wasn’t there, he had stuff going on.”
“Everyone was invited and not everyone could make it, but I had 12 days, and I was like, ‘Well, no pressure, this is my first time, and then it’s going to be a wedding, and it’s going to be in Vogue magazine, and there’s also going to be paparazzi shots of me from a helicopter, officiating, no pressure,” he added.
Ferguson and Hyland have been tight-knit on- and off-screen for years, with Hyland telling Vogue: “I’ve known Jesse since I was 18 years old. I remember his first date with his husband Justin. So we’ve been through so much. Jesse and Justin and Wells and I have travelled together, just the four of us. So it was really special to have him up there.”
The Modern Family series came to an end in April 2020 after 11 seasons.
