VISITING Lapland and meeting Santa is at the top of many kids’ bucket lists.

And TUI is launching its Lapland holidays earlier than ever before.

The 2024 holidays will include meet and greets with Santa, husky and sleigh rides and many Christmas activities.

Lapland, known as Santa’s birthplace, is located in Finland’s far north, close to the Arctic Circle.

Next winter, the holidays will include three and four-night breaks to Kittila, Rovaniemi, Ivalo and Kuusamo from December 1, 2024, to January 2, 2025.

You’ll even be able to book the four-night break over Christmas, with holidays departing on December 22.

If you don’t want to commit to a full holiday, TUI will also continue its best-selling Lapland day trips – and these will also run from December 1, 2024.

TUI’s 2024 Lapland programme will be available to book from seven regional airports; Gatwick, Birmingham, East Midlands, Newcastle, Bristol, Glasgow and Manchester

If you’re unsure which resort to visit, each one will have a different vibe and different activities available.

For instance, if you’re after a skiing holiday, you should opt for Levi, while Pallas and Yllas are great for winter sports.

Rovaniemi is Lapland’s capital, where you’ll find shops, restaurants and nightlife – so it’s perfect for a snowy city break.

But if you’d like to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights, you should stay in Saariselka.

All the resorts will be filled with Christmas activities and decorations, so you won’t need to worry about that.

Children will be able to meet Santa and the elves and ride in a traditional reindeer sleigh and a husky sledge through the snow.

Three-night stays in Lapland start from £825pp, while day trips are available from £939 for adults and £909pp per child.

The holiday packages include a 15kg luggage allowance and transfers.

TUI’s Business Development and Commercial Director, Richard Sofer, said: “Lapland has always been an important destination for TUI, and even more so because we know how much this magical destination means to our customers.

At TUI we like to make dreams such as seeing the Northern Lights, meeting Santa in his home, and husky sleigh-riding in the snow, become a reality, and ensure that families make memories that will last a lifetime.”

If you’re after a family holiday this summer, TUI has also launched 50% off beach breaks over the school summer holidays.

And we’ve also found the best-rated all-inclusive hotels with waterparks in Spain on Tripadvisor.

While Disney World’s new sale has up to £1,650 free spending money and 14 tickets for the price of 7 in 2024, but you’ll have to be quick.
