A fresh report has claimed that German heavyweights Bayern and Dortmund have withdrawn themselves from the race to sign Chalobah.
German sports journalist Florian Plettenberg confirmed both clubs are “out of the race for Trevoh Chalobah” and they are “not planning his transfer in winter.”
Chalobah has still not played a minute for the Blues this term due to an issue with his hamstring.
The ex-England U21 international is expected to return at the end of January the report claims.
The centre-back was heavily linked to a move away from the Premier League despite having another four years left on his contract.
Bayern was near to snatching Chalobah in the summer but a fee was unable to be agreed upon between the Blues and Bayern.
However, it seems unlikely that Bayern will pursue the Blues defender again in the January window.
Dortmund will continue to look to bring in full-back reinforcements in the new year but without the Englishman on their radar.

Mauricio Pochettino has made it clear the star is no longer a key part of his plans at Stamford Bridge.
Instead, Poch has preferred the likes of Axel Disasi, Thiago Silva and Levi Colwill.
But for Chalobah a move to Roma could be on the card as the clubs are reportedly interested in the star.
The Serie A boss Jose Mourinho has already plucked both Tammy Abraham and Romelu Lukaku from the Blues since taking on the new role.
