TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD has hinted that he has changed sponsorship by wearing unreleased boots.

The Liverpool star was spotted rocking an unseen pair of Adidas Predators against Manchester City in the Premier League.

Alexander-Arnold, 25, had been sponsored by Under Armour before but now appears to have changed.

However, the swap to new red and white boots does not appear to have helped him on the pitch.

It has been reported that these boots will be released early next year.

Against City, he struggled to deal with winger Jeremy Doku for much of the first half.

He was also beaten by Nathan Ake who went on to set up Erling Haaland to score the opening goal of the game at the Etihad Stadium.

And fans were quick to comment on social media.

One fan posted: “Wearing predators while becoming prey…”

A second wrote: “Trent Rocking Predator is crazy, coz Doku is the predator.”

A third commented: “And he is being torn apart by Doku warra boot.”

A fourth said: “He’s the worst on the pitch though.”

A fifth joked: “If only it gave him Gerrard’s ability.”

Another added: “And dropping a disasterclass in them.”

The goal for Haaland was a record breaker as it was his 50th in the Premier League in only his 48th appearance in the competition.

The Norwegian striker has reached the landmark tally quicker than any other player in the league’s history.

In 2019, Alexander-Arnold was believed to have signed a £1.6million-a-year deal with Under Armour.
