A TRAVELLER has revealed the perfect bag to buy to avoid having pay excess luggage fees when flying with budget airlines.
Charging for baggage is one way airlines make money from their passengers, but there are ways to dodge the extra costs.

In a video on Tiktok, travellers Noah & Rachel (@dinksaround) showed the bag they use to make sure they take all they need on board, without having to pay.
The bag they have is the Coowoz travel backpack, which they say is “perfect” for hand luggage.
In the video, Rachel says: “I think we’ve found the perfect budget airline bag.
“This Amazon backpack works perfectly as a personal item for budget airlines such as Spirit or Frontier.
“We purchased the small size of this carry on backpack.
“This backpack comes in a variety of colours, has special compartments for wet or dirty clothes, shoes, and has a USB port.

“We were a bit concerned that our bags would not fit the personal item bin here. I clipped down the strap to really ensure that we would not be facing a $100 (£84) bag fine.

The bag is available from £32.99 on Amazon and comes in three different sizes, depending on how big a laptop compartment you need.
It is made of waterproof polyester and has two main pockets, a laptop compartment and many other pockets for different purposes.

It also has a wet bag, made of high density water resistant material, to separate dry items and wet items, like towels or swimwear.
There’s also a separate shoe compartment so you can take a spare pair in your travel bag.
And to make it extra travel friendly, it comes with a USB port so users can charge mobile devices.
The backpack has an overall rating of 4.5/5 from almost 6,500 reviews on Amazon.

Of those reviewers, 90 per cent gave it either a four or five star rating.
One said: “I bought this bag for my week holiday to Antalya on a Jet2 flight and it fit with absolutely no issues at all, despite the bag being packed to the absolute maximum it could possibly hold!”
