Tottenham offload TWO players to Galatasaray including £55m transfer flop.. but only one has left for good

TOTTENHAM duo Davinson Sanchez and Tanguy Ndombele have joined Galatasaray.

Defender Sanchez has moved permanently and £55million midfield flop Ndombele is off on loan for the season as Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou acts swiftly on his vow to prune his squad.

The Turkish giants pounced for the pair as the transfer deadline in much of Europe is later than the September 1 date in England.

Tottenham have increasingly sidelined Colombia star Sanchez, 27.

And his confidence might have been further shaken by missing a penalty in last week’s Carabao Cup KO in a spot-kick shootout at Fulham.

Meanwhile, Frenchman Ndombele departs temporarily but with the option of a permanent deal next summer for around £13m.

The 26-year-old has been loaned back to old club Lyon as well as Napoli over the past 18 months.

And that unsettled period shows what a disappointment he’s been in the Premier League since arriving at Spurs in 2019.

But Ndombele at least gets his wish of Champions League football.

Galatasaray finished last season with their first Turkish top-flight table in four years.

Postecoglou initially gave Ndombele a fresh chance to impress when he took over as manager in June.

But a pre-season ankle injury set the seven-cap ace back.

And although Ndombele returned to fitness,  Aussie Postecoglou lost patience.
