Tommy Fury reveals what prompted dad John to boot tables and chairs and wrecking KSI press conference

TOMMY FURY has revealed that his dad John’s outburst during the press conference with KSI was down to him having some “red wine”.

The Love Island star’s dad, 59, saw red as he called himself “a machine” during an on-stage meltdown in which he threw a table and chairs on Tuesday.

After the chaos ended, Tommy, 24, was asked if John‘s antics were planned.

He insisted that he was caught off guard by his dad but did admit that it was all “fun and games” and himself put it down to some red wine.

Tommy said: “No, definitely not, I didn’t see that coming.

“It must have been the red wine that must’ve hit him and then he just got into it.

“But, at the end of the day it’s all fun and games, hyping up the fight, so it was good, I enjoyed it.”

Security staff were quick to intervene as the enraged Fury slammed his fists on the table before kicking it in the air.

As the dust settled, Tommy and KSI returned to the stage for a face-off which led to the YouTuber-turned-boxer shoving his opponent.

However, Tommy was not concerned about the push claiming that KSI was “powerless”.

He said: “He gave me a little push. As everyone saw on camera and it didn’t do anything, he’s powerless.

“His time is running out and he knows that after today and he knows what’s going to happen to him.”

Tommy also argued that KSI will be an easier opponent for him than his last clash which came against Jake Paul.

He won the fight against the social media star by split decision.

Tommy added: “I don’t think KSI can tie Jake Paul’s boots up to be honest.

“I’ve seen him there up close and personal and he’s nothing more than a middleweight.

“He’s two weight divisions below me and God help him on the night.

“He won’t be able to get out of the first round.”
