TIKTOK users have gone crazy for ‘the guy with the white hat’ who has been spotted giving Google Earth the run around.
But it turns out the stranger has made quite the name for himself among Google Earth fans.

In this instance, the man has walked in a circle around the Google Earth camera as it was documenting the world.
This has resulted in people being able to see eight versions of the same man while in Street View, with facial expressions and positioning getting progressively more intense.
Messing around with the Google Earth camera on its mission appears to have become a hobby for the gentleman.
The anonymous lurker can be found in nearly 100 locations on Google Earth wearing – you guessed it – the same white cowboy hat.
The real identity of the jet-setter is unclear.
He is known only as ‘the guy with the white hat’ and has become a prolific ‘Where’s Wally’-type character on Google Earth.
GeoGuessr, a website where players can guess where in the world the are by looking for nearby clues, has an entire map based around ‘the guy with the white hat’.
The map includes 98 locations, where he can be found anywhere from the US and Colombia, to the UK and the Netherlands.
Thousands of people have had their go at the map, in search of ‘the guy with the white hat’ and his location.
The man is often hard to miss, deploying a raft of bizarre positions to make unsuspecting Google Earths users chuckle behind their screens.
He can be spotted atop poles, inside trains or riding on decorative canons.
But in some places, he can be more aloof – or even mistaken for any other man who just so happens to wear a white wide-rimmed hat that same day, in that exact corner of the world.
