Actress Suzanne Somers has died following a 50-year-long battle with cancer. She was 76.
Page Six first reported the news this morning with a statement shared by the Three’s Company‘s star’s longtime publicist R. Couri Hay. People later confirmed the tragedy.
Hay told the outlet Somers died at her Palm Springs home on the morning of October 15, surrounded by her family.

”Suzanne was surrounded by her loving husband Alan, her son Bruce, and her immediate family.”
October 16 would have been Somers’ 77th birthday, with the family originally planning to celebrate the milestone together on Monday in California (Tuesday in Australia).

She had previously battled skin cancer in her 30s, and before that, she battled two hyperplasia in her 20s.
In August, Somers revealed her breast cancer had returned.
“I have been living with cancer since my 20s. And every time that little f—er pops up, I continue to bat it back,” she previously told Entertainment Tonight.
“I do my best not to let this insidious disease control me.”
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Alan Hamel, her son, Bruce Somers Jr., as well as her three granddaughters.
