Thousands of Brits hit by TV disruption following Storm Isha – check if your area is affected

THOUSANDS of Brits are wrestling with a TV blackout following the chaos of Storm Isha, which is set to continue throughout this week.

Storm Isha brought vicious 99mph winds over the weekend, and with that, disruption reception to Freeview, FM and DAB radio across various parts of the UK.

Wind damage, alongside power cuts, have wiped smaller transmitter sites off air.

While wind and heavy rain has also caused damage to rooftop aerials and cables.

A misaligned TV aerial often means the wind has pushed it away from the strongest signal.

This disruption is set to continue into the middle of this week, as a separate Storm Jocelyn is on its way with 70mph winds.

Storm Jocelyn is forecast to roll in on Tuesday afternoon (23 January), and is expected to cause more commotion to the airwaves – particularly in areas reliant on rural masts.

Outages can last for between several minutes and several days, if severe.
