What to do if iPlayer is crashing on my TV
There are alternative ways to watch BBC programmes online while a fix for the smart TV app is worked on, depending on the gadgets you have.
Do you have a games console like PS5 or Xbox? These have iPlayer apps you could use instead.
There’s also the option of using a Fire TV stick or Chromecast device which are relatively cheap.
You could even connect your laptop to your TV using a cheap HDMI cable.
This will mirror whatever you have on your computer screen onto your TV, so you could load up iPlayer.
