‘This is what young girls need to be seeing’: Millie Bobby Brown goes makeup free

Millie Bobby Brown has embraced the all natural look, appearing bare-faced on The Drew Barrymore Show.

The 20-year-old actor sat down for an interview with Drew Barrymore make up free complete with a purple butterfly-shaped pimple patch that she wore proudly on her cheek.

Matching the casual look, Brown wore a slouchy lilac track set and black knee-high leather boots accessorized with a statement pearl necklace and bejeweled earrings.

Fans were impressed with Brown’s decision to go bare-faced, taking to the comment section to share their praise.

”I think the pimple patch is awesome!! Normalise normal skin!!,” read another.

Some even commented on the no make-up move being a simple revolt against unfair feminine beauty ideals.

“The fact that she’s wearing no make-up is so wonderful. Gen Z is really working hard to untangle the patriarchy,” one comment read.

“This is what young girls need to be seeing,” another read.

Brown is not the first to adopt the no makeup trend with plenty of celebs, like Pamela Anderson, choosing to ditch the glam.

Chatting to Barrymore, who wore a matching lilac set, Brown shared the details of the wedding-themed party she had to celebrate her twentieth birthday.

Engaged to fiancé Jake Bon Giovi, she shared that she decided to combine her twentieth birthday party with her bachelorette party.

“My twentieth birthday was so fun,” she told Barrymore.

“It was like a combination because I was like I’m not going to have a Bachelorette party,” she continued.

Explaining that as she doesn’t have many girlfriends and doesn’t like to party the birthday-cum-bachelorette made sense to her.

“So we had like a Bachelorette party but I was the only girl,” she said.

Brown announced news of her engagement via Instagram in April last year.

“I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all,” she captioned the post.
