The duo were giving an interview to Sports Illustrated

During one recent chat with Sports Illustrated, McGregor seemed to twitch during his answer.

Asked about working with Gyllenhaal, McGregor said: “Jake’s a consummate professional, 75 movies made.

“You know, I’m blessed to have entered into a movie alongside him.

He was patient with me, he gave me guidance and I just took it. You know, we had a good rapport on set.

“He has 75 movies made I have 75 bar fights made, and that’s it. We had a good back and forth.”

After watching McGregor’s interview, one fan wrote on social media: “This is legitimately sad.”

While a second commented: “This is very sad to see.”

A third quipped: “Good thing Jake Gyllenhaal is an actor acting like he doesn’t notice.”

Another added: “That was disturbing to watch.”

Road House was released on Prime Video earlier this week.

Gyllenhaal, 43, revealed that he was on the receiving end of a few inadvertent McGregor blows during shooting.

He told the Telegraph: “Oftentimes people want to know if he hit me and he did by mistake a couple times.

“But I did to him too. I mean, it really had no effect on him.”

The American then added: “It was quite a shock and definitely something in my career that I will always hold with me, that I was actually hit in the face by Mr McGregor.

“He was really apologetic though.”

McGregor worked on Road House during his long UFC lay-off.

The Notorious hasn’t fought since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021.

Earlier this week, the Irishman announced that he would finally be making his octagon return this summer.

He told ESPN: “We got confirmation a few days ago that it’s all systems go at the Mac, The Notorious will be returning in the UFC octagon this summer.”
