A SEASIDE resort in the UK has one of the ‘best beaches in the UK’ – and even featured in an award-winning Hollywood Blockbuster.
Holkham Beach, in Norfolk is often called the jewel of the north coast due to its long stretch of golden sand.

It even featured in the 1998 blockbuster Shakespeare In LoveUniversal Pictures
A study by the AA also listed it as one of the best beaches in the UK, praising it for being dog-friendly, as well as having lifeguard services and a beach car park.
You can even rent one of the many multicoloured beach huts which sit on stilts along part of the beach.
The beach backs onto the Holkham Pines, a huge strip of pine trees which is part of the National Nature Reserve and popular with walkers.
There is also a cafe, The Lookout, which has binoculars to look at the local wildlife while selling snacks and drinks.
And it was even featured in an award-winning Hollywood Blockbuster.
The 1998 film Shakespeare in Love used the beach for the final scene, showing Gwyneth Paltrow walking along the sand.
It’s rated highly by tourists too, with most people giving it 5* on TripAdvisor.
One wrote: “Beach is excellent. Very long stretch of unspoilt sand and the water is brilliant to swim in.”
Another said: “A unique beach. It is huge and largely untouched with development. No tacky shops or food venders. As nature intended.”
A third said: “Been to some great beaches around the UK but this one is the best.”
If you fancy staying nearby, Pinewoods Holiday Park is a short drive and is one of the best-rated resorts in the area.
Tourists can choose from caravans to lodges to stay in, with the park also having an onsite playground, shop and cafe.
Holkham Beach is around an hour’s drive from Norwich, with trains from Norwich to London taking around 1hr45.
