Curracloe Beach, also known as Curracloe Strand, is located 15 minutes from Wexford Town and less than two hours from Dublin.

The beauty spot has featured in two Hollywood blockbusters Brooklyn and Steven Spielberg’s hit movie Saving Private Ryan.

Hollywood legends including Tom Hanks, Saoirse Ronan and Domhnall Gleeson have set the beach alight with movie magic.

Tom Hanks previously told RTE that his time at Curracloe Beach was one of the most “magnificent” locations he’s ever filmed in.

With pristine blue waters, golden sand and adorable dolphins – it’s no surprise it has continuously been awarded Blue Flag Beach status.

Stretching across seven miles, it’s the perfect spot for sunbathing, swimming, walking and surfing.

Dolphins are often spotted swimming in the crystal clear waters.

The beach is also popular with surfers, with all levels welcome at the Surf Shack School.

In summer, there’s a lifeguard service in place on the beach for added peace of mind.

The beach has good facilities including a car park, wooden walkways and toilets.

Discover the red squirrels, grey seals, and geese in the surrounding Curracloe Forest.

Follow the nature trail running through the dunes to Raven Point.
The walk to Raven Point is 4.3 mile return.
