And with short flights and cheap breaks, this attracts thousands of Brits who want some winter heat.
But rather than a two-week stay, you could opt to spend most of the winter in the European hotspot – with bargain 10-week breaks.
The Caravan and Motorhome Club has revealed some of the campsites where you can enjoy a long stay for just £12 a night.
The breaks, which include a return ferry crossing with P&O from Dover to Calais, would see Brits spend six to 10 weeks in sunny Spain.
The Long Stay Programme even includes activities such as walking tours, quiz nights and BBQs.
The website states: “There’s nothing better than escaping the cold and wet British winters for the sunny skies of Spain.
“These hosted breaks are increasing in popularity every year as more and more people choose to take their caravans, campervans or motorhomes abroad for the winter while saving a fortune on energy bills compared to if they had stayed at home!”
Here are some of the best 10-week breaks, running from January 8 to March 17.
