After arriving on holiday, a lot of people like to unpack all their clothes and settle into their new accommodation, instead of living out of their suitcase.

However, that’s not always possible, with the amount of coathangers often kept to a minimum in hotels and rental properties.

That’s why people now take their own foldable travel hangers on holiday with them.

The hangers fold down small enough that they can be stored in carry-on bags and can then be used to organise clothes on arrival.

What’s more, they also fold into a number of positions, so that they can hold several different items of clothing, including shirts, dresses, bras, hats and swimwear, to help them dry off after a day at the pool.

There are several different people selling the hangers on Amazon, including this 12-piece set for just £5.50.

Plenty of people are fans of the hangers, including Yahoo Life, who sung the hangers’ praises.

They wrote: “They’re versatile and strong. Best of all though, they’re small enough to fit in any carry-on, so even with all your best travel outfits in tow, you can still fit quite a few of them for easy unpacking.

“The clips are especially great for hanging pants, and for glampers or Airbnbs with no closet at all, they make it easy to hang garments from the included clothesline.”

The Sun Travel team’s holiday essentials

The hangers have a 4.6/5 overall score on Amazon, with loads of people awarding them the full five stars.

One wrote: “Travel lifesaver! You need these! “They fold small, weigh practically nothing and will save your clothes when there are just not enough hangers.

“I don’t leave home without these!”

Another said: “They are compact, which I love. They fold out super easy and quickly. And are great for travel.”

A third added: “Used on a cruise, They were a lifesaver.”

The hangers are far from the only handy gadgets to have caught the imagination of the online travel community, with plenty of handy products also available.

Atomiser

Packing toiletries is one of the more stressful parts of a holiday, with the liquids rule limiting the amount that can be taken as carry-on.

However, the 5ML refillable perfume atomiser means passengers can take a small amount of perfume – enough for a spritz for each night of their holiday – without the worry of losing the whole bottle.

The small capsule is easy to fill up and prevents leaks into suitcases.

Portable fan

The Jisulife handheld fan is available in four different colours and will take the edge off during hot summer days.

Its lightweight and compact size means it’s easier to take out on any holiday day out, from hiking to relaxing on the beach.

Its folding technology makes it easier to store, whether it’s in a handbag, draw or even a pocket.

Bluetooth transmitter

The Airfly bluetooth transmitter means plane passengers can use their own headphones with the plane’s entertainment system.

They therefore can use their noise-cancelling phones, cutting out the noise of the aircraft.

Meanwhile, this clever £17 item helps you sleep on planes and in hotel rooms.

And families rave about this unusual £6 travel item.
