TRYING to choose the right suitcase can be tricky, especially when on a budget.
But one suitcase set has won praise from both flight attendants and travellers – and it won’t break the bank.

Called the U.S. Traveler Rio Rugged Fabric Expandable Carry-on Luggage Set, it comes as a pair – a larger suitcase and a small carry on.
The larger suitcase measures 53cm x 35cm x 22cm, which can be taken into the cabin (although most airlines will now charge for this).
The holdall will fit underneath the seats and counts as a personal item, measuring 35cm x 25cm x 15cm and often allowed on the plane for free.
Each bag has a number of zipper pockets and compartments as well as handles on both the top and the side.
Even better, the holdall has a large strap that attaches to the suitcase handle, so you can run through the airport hands free.
Not only has it had more than 17,000, five-star reviews, but both flight crew and holidaymakers have been raving about it.
One wrote: “I’m a flight attendant and I absolutely LOVE this luggage set!
“I am shocked at how durable and dependable this set is – I have received multiple compliments on this luggage from other flight attendants, and that’s very telling in itself.”
Another said: “As a new flight attendant I couldn’t afford the Travel Pro line, but this set had been absolutely great!”
Travellers have also raved about it – with one saying it has lasted her more than a decade.
They wrote: “I’ve had this set for 15 years and taken it all over North America (and twice to Europe). It can take the abuse of baggage handlers!”
A second added: “Bought two of these in 2012 for my kids, and they have held out well.

The set costs £53 on the UK Amazon website, which works out to £26.50 per bag.
It comes in purple and green – but the only downside is it won’t come in time for Christmas, as it is not being restocked until next year.
