Herm Island is one of the Channel Islands, and it’s only three miles away from Guernsey.

To get there, you take the Herm passenger ferry from Peter Port Harbour in Guernsey, which takes just 15 minutes and costs £8 per person for a one-way ticket.

It is one of the smaller Channel Islands with only 60 people living there.

However, tourists often visit during the summer with attractions including the island’s beautiful beaches and outdoor activities like archery, kayaking, fishing, and garden tours.

The north end of the island is made up of beautiful beaches including Oyster Point.

Shell and Belvoir on the east coast of the island are white sandy beaches that have clear blue waters.

As well as spending the day at the beach, visitors can also see seals, puffins, and dolphins.

From April to July, holidaymakers can see Puffins on a kayak tour led by an expert guide.

On another kayak tour, holidaymakers will be able to paddle around a nearby archipelago that’s occupied by a seal colony.

There’s also a chance to spot dolphins and peregrines on a two-hour tour around Herm island.

The most popular time of year to go is between April to October as the island warms up over the summer months.

You can stay on the island with a variety of accommodation options available including the island’s only hotel, The White House Hotel.

There are also several holiday cottages and campsites available where overnight visitors can stay.

Sample some Herm ice cream at one of the beach cafés, which are open during the summer months.

While the Mermaid Tavern serves up pub grub, the Ship’s Inn serves up food morning, noon, and night.

Over the last few years, more and more Brits have been visiting the little-known Channel Island.

TikToker Guernsey Girl posted a video comparing Herm to the Caribbean.

She said: “There is an island in the UK with no cars that has a Caribbean feel.”

Meanwhile TikTok user meghandelarue described Herm as Paradise island in the English Channel in one of her videos.

Herm Island isn’t the only slice of paradise in the UK, there’s also the Isle of Mull in Scotland.

Not only does Mull have stunning blue waters but visitors can also see fluffy cows that swim in the ocean.

Meanwhile, this little-known beach has been voted the best in the UK.
