A HUGE waterpark has received rave reviews online from families, who have labelled it an “incredible” day out.
Waterbom in Bali has been open since 1993 and describes itself as “a boutique, botanical waterpark experience” rather than just a simple waterpark.

In addition to its 22 different slides and rides, it also has swim-up bars, private gazebo areas, expansive lawns and multiple restaurants for people to relax and make a day out of their visit.
Its attractions cater for a number of different guests too, with slides put into three different categories, including mellow, moderate and extreme.
Perhaps the most extreme is Smashdown 2.0, for which the floor drops out from underneath riders, who then plummet down a near vertical drop.
Additionally, there’s Twin Racers, a fast-flowing mat ride on which guests can race against their family and friends.
As well as slides, attractions like Euro Bungy and Flow Rider offer different kinds of experiences to visitors, with the former a nine-metre high bungee catapult and the latter an artificial surfing wave machine.
However, for those who are less interested in going high or fast, there’s the Lazy River, which trundles along at a more leisurely pace.
Elsewhere, further relaxation can be found at the park’s spa, where several massages and treatments are on offer.
The park is continually expanding and earlier this year opened its brand new Oasis Gardens area, which features four new slides, a lagoon pool, another swim-up bar and more spa treatment areas.
Among the new slides are Tailspin, a moderate slide “propelling riders through a rainbow tube into two angled half bowls”.
There’s also Boomerang, which launchers riders up a vertical wall and The Drop, which has two different slides at the bottom of a “suspenseful 8-meter drop”.
Upon opening the new area, the park said: “Get ready to drop, spin and fly on four thrilling new slides in the new Oasis Gardens area at Waterbom.
“The area adds an extra 1.3 hectares to the park, with a new lagoon pool and swim-up pool bar, tropical gardens, a winding 20 meter tall slide tower, poolside and garden gazebos, new café, outdoor spa area and more.”
The park has an overall score of 4.5/5 from more than 16,000 reviews on TripAdvisor.
The vast majority of those were five star reviews, with one saying: “This is a beautiful, well kept water park, with lots of fun rides, pools and a lazy river.
“There are loungers everywhere, and plenty of shade, and the gazebos are very reasonable for added luxury.”
Another wrote: “We will definitely return! From entering at security to being the last people there at closing, everything was perfect!”
A third added: “We had an incredible family day at Waterbom Park! Staff great, fantastic value, delicious food, we’ll be back!”
The guests’ positive feedback earned Waterbom the title of best waterpark in Asia in TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice, Best of the Best Awards this year.
It is the eighth year running that the park has received the award, while it was also named the fifth best waterpark in the world.
Meanwhile, these are the biggest waterparks in the UK, with infinity pools, slides and vertical drops.
And this £250m water attraction is set to open in Manchester in the near future.
